Mr Koh See Long was born in Singapore in 1940. He was brought back to Hainan Island, China at a very young age. In age of 15, he came back to Singapore with his brother to look for a better life here. But in the harsh environment with almost no/low education at that time, he started to do every job he could to survive. With his determination, hardworking & "never say no" personality, he started to work in a hotel as a trainee , as a butcher. Life is not as what he has wanted. So he started to do small delivery with just a motorcycle in the evening after his work in a hotel. As he persevered, he slowly grew his sales & expanded his frozen meat supply. He then started his 1st company known by many as " KOH SEE LONG" in 1973. He soon started to import frozen meat from Australia & New Zealand even though he hardly knew much English at that point of time.
